Like a giant human jigsaw puzzle dismantled by political winds and reassembled by deft hands, Chapala’s City Hall staff has undergone a major shakeup over the past week.
The job shuffle started Friday, March 5, when the cabildo (city council) approved the leave of absence requests filed by Mayor Moisés Anaya Aguilar, and councilors Alejandro Aguirre Curiel, Lilia Alvarado Macias and Gerardo Degollado González, all of whom will soon be hitting the campaign trail in the lead-up to the June 6 local elections.
