How is the makeover of the Auditorio de la Ribera complex in La Floresta coming along?
The upper level dance studio will have high-grade wood flooring, natural lighting and other details to enhance classes and rehearsals.
The walkabout was guided by the facility’s administrator Esteban de Anda, who first led the visitors to a new two-story structure built on the east side of the auditorium for an inside look at the ground floor music studio and upper level dance studio.
Although interior details remain unfinished, the group was able to appreciate design features of the upper level dance studio that are based on the advice of renowned Guadalajara dance instructors Laura Fernández and Hector Hernández, parents of ballet stars Isaac and Esteban Hernández. Experienced dancers were impressed by the high quality wood flooring exposed by pulling up part of the cardboard placed on top as temporary protective covering.
