Due to Jalisco’s Covid-19 restrictions, the Lake Chapala Shrine Club was obliged to cancel its annual Ribfest fundraiser, which normally hosts 500 guests.
This meant that the club’s fund for transporting crippled and burned Mexican children and their parents to Mexico City for free treatment at the Shrine Hospital became severely depleted.
To compensate, the Shrine Club is sponsoring several “Dine with the Shrine” benefits at different Lakeside venues, all observing limited seating and other health protocols.
The next “Dine with the Shrine” fundraiser will be held Wednesday, May 26, at Adelita Bar & Grill in San Antonio Tlayacapan, featuring their famous BBQ ribs. In addition to sit-down service, the event also offers take-out boxed rib dinners that the Shriners will deliver to the supporter’s home addresses.
