Chapala’s amateur men’s team is undefeated in the elimination round of the 2022 Copa Jalisco soccer tournament that kicked off April 10.
After five games, the 2021 Copa Jalisco runners-up lead their seven-team Región Sureste group.
The first round of games ends Sunday, May 22, when Chapala face off against Valle de Juárez at a home game set for 4 p.m. at the municipal soccer field located at the north end of Avenida Madero. Chapala’s female team has not fared quite as well, with two wins and two losses in its group. Their next game is on the road against Mazamitla Sunday, May 29, noon.
