Fiesta de Ecología, encompassing multiple activities with a thrust on protecting the local environment, is scheduled for Sunday, February 5, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Chapala’s Parque de la Cristianía.
Admission is open to the public at no charge. Free bus transportation between Walmart and the park will be available through the day.
The event will feature educational activities for children and adults and exhibits related to ecology. There will also be live entertainment, food and drink and a silent auction.
Advertised with the motto “We Live in a Paradise – Let’s Protect it Together,” the Eco Fest is co-sponsored by the Chapala government and Movimiento Ambiental Soloidario (MAS), the non-profit association that is taking charge of local recycling projects.
