Both lanes of the south leg of Chapala’s Avenida Madero were reopened for through traffic as of Saturday, April 8, just as throngs of Easter season visitors began arriving in town.
The next phase of the state-funded main street rehab project will tackle sections running north of the central plaza.
Meanwhile, on this Wednesday the local government inaugurated the completed the rebuild of Calle Miguel Martínez stretching from the local bus depot to Calle 5 de Mayo. Other street improvement project are underway in other parts of the municipality.
