A 25-man work crew is going full steam ahead to finish phase one of the construction of the new headquarters for Cruz Roja Delegación Chapala (CRC) before the end of May.
The goal is to complete the emergency services area to be housed on the ground floor of the two-story building going up to one side of the dilapidated clinic built more than six decades ago.
Meanwhile, CRC honorary President Yolanda Martínez Llamas has recruited some loyal Red Cross supporters to ramp up fundraising efforts to complete the project. With expenses to date adding up to nine million pesos, unpaid bills currently stand at about one-third of that amount.
