The Chapala government released a photograph of a pair of suspected pickpockets detained by police on April 27 in response to a 911 call placed by employees of a convenience store on Avenida Madero Avenue.
The suspects allegedly tried to buy merchandise with bank cards stolen from a foreign customer a short time earlier at another store in San Antonio Tlayacapan. The Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating to determine whether the couple may have committed similar crimes in the area.
