After eight years of extensive demolition and reconstruction, Centro Educativo Jaltepec, Lakeside’s hospitality school for young women, is delighted to revive one of its cherished traditions: Christmas at Jaltepec.
On December 3, Jaltepec invites you to a special celebration at its newly transformed campus. For five years, thanks to the generosity of Javier and Martha of La Bodega in Ajijic, this event continued while the students’ residence, kitchen and laundry labs underwent a complete overhaul. Now, with renovations finalized, Jaltepec is thrilled to welcome guests back to its home.
Christmas at Jaltepec is more than just a festive dinner—it’s a time-honored ritual! The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres prepared and served by students during a no-host cocktail hour, followed by a Christmas concert given by the Nova Lux Chamber Choir, directed by Ken Turner.
Guests will then savor a full roast turkey dinner, complete with all the trimmings, lovingly prepared in Jaltepec’s state-of-the-art kitchen and served by its talented students. This three-course meal promises to be a feast filled with holiday warmth, delectable flavors, and the spirit of Jaltepec.
Attendees will also have the chance to explore the beautifully renovated campus, including the modern kitchen labs, updated student residences, and the elegant main lobby of the guest residence.
This unforgettable evening is a celebration of community, exceptional conviviality and holiday cheer. Don’t miss this opportunity to support Jaltepec and the future leaders of the hospitality industry.
