Representatives of Mexican cement giant Cemex said this week that the firm is willing to provide materials to build President Trump’s border wall but would refuse to have any role in the construction process.
Cemex has become a major player in the U.S. construction market, which now accounts for more than a quarter of its total revenue.
Given his call to U.S. citizens to “buy American,” it would be highly ironic if Trump decided to involve Cemex in the project, even though the Mexican company might offer the best financial deal.
