Have a brew with Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump has been good to the news business, pundents and late-night TV hosts, but Mexican businesses are also using his unpopularity with their countrymen to their advantage.

Two Mexico City-based breweries — Cervezera Casa Cru Cru and Error de Diciembre — have  partnered with Salt Lake City’s Epic Brewing to create Amigous Cerveza, a mango IPA.

On the lable a dejected looking Trump is cast as a Mariachi with a swastika belt buckle.

The beer makers are tryng to demonstrate that despite the U.S. president’s hostile discourse toward Mexico, both countries are good neighbors.

“It doesn’t matter what he says,” opines Error de Dicembre director Jose Fernando Rincón, “friends will be friends, whether there’s a wall between us or not.”

The beer is a New England variety of pale ale and has a touch of mango in it.

“Ironically, the final result was a very bitter beer, like Trump and, due to the mango, very orange, also like Trump,” noted Cru Cru’s CEO Luis Enrique de la Reguera.
