You’re never too old for a new challenge! Alberto Chávez, 82, from Michoacan, ran Virgin Sport’s London 10k Race last weekend in a remarkable time of 1 hour 15 minutes, finishing in 9th place.
This was the second edition of the race, and the second year Chávez has participated. The race takes place in the heart of Westmintser, and is themed as a British street party, with live music, bands and DJs at each kilometer of the course. Following the race, Chávez was feted and treated to a meal at Mestizo, a centrally located Mexican restaurant.
