Catholic church opens up on sexual abuse in Mexico

In the past decade, 271 priests in Mexico have been investigated for allegations of sexual abuses, Catholic officials revealed this week.

The data was provided by the Mexican Episcopal Conference (CEM, an organization of Catholic bishops), which held a press conference Monday to detail the advances they say they are making in rooting out abusers in the church and ensuring they face justice.
