Cervantino goes virtual

With the coronavirus emergency looking set to continue well into the fall, organizers of upcoming cultural events are making early alternative decisions.

The latest big event to be affected is the Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato, which will now be held digitally from October 14 to 18.  The festival, which normally runs for three weeks, draws hundreds of performers and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world. This year’s invited country will be Cuba. See festivalcervantino.gob.mx for more details.
