Twenty-two people died when a passenger bus caught fire after it collided with an overturned trailer on the Mazatlán-Culiacán highway, near the town of El Tanque on January 30.
According to reports, the victims included the wife and teen-age son of Jorge Corvera, the manager of the newly-formed Charros de Jalisco softball team, Patricia Carrillo and Jorge Bryan Corvera.
