Death toll in gas pipeline explosion rises to 85

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has said he remains firm in his policy to end widespread gasoline theft after 85 people died and more were injured after the punctured Tuxpan-Tula pipeline in Tlahuelilpan, Hidalgo exploded on the evening of January 18.  

Power couple die in helicopter crash

Investigators say no traces of explosives have been found in the wreckage of the helicopter that crashed on December 24, claiming the lives of Puebla Governor Martha Érika Alonso and her husband Rafael Moreno Valle, a senator and the former governor of the central Mexican state.
