Della Marie Sanchez of Ajijic died in a Guadalajara hospital on September 6 at the age of 77.
She was born December 12, 1934 in Havre, Montana and later moved with her family to Tacoma, Washington. She spent her teenage and adult years in South San Francisco, California. It was there that she met and married her husband Edward Sanchez.
A homemaker, Sanchez raised her two sons in the Californian city. Della and Edward moved to Ajijic in 1989 and enjoyed an active social life. They made many friends in the Lakeside area and were able to travel extensively during their years here.
Her son Dennis predeceased her in 2003 and her husband Edward in 2008. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Sanchez of Folson, California, a brother, Lee Wolary of California and eight grandchildren, Isaac, Kristine, Deanna, Joseph, Dennis, Thomas, Elizabeth and Teresa. She had nine great-grandchildren. Sanchez also leaves behind her dear friend, Jeannie Morales of Lakeside.
