Ival Wayne Vincent

Ival Wayne Vincent died November 14 at his home in Chapala at the age of 69.

Born March 22, 1943 in Visalia, California, Vincent attended the University of Central Oklahoma.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, being stationed in Korea during the Vietnam conflict.

Except for the time he spent fulfilling his military obligation, Vincent worked as a production manager for Christianson Diamond Products that produced drill bits from 1961 to 1987. He married his wife, Wanda, in 1963 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Besides his work, he was a choir director at the Cedar Lake Chapel.

Wayne and Wanda moved to Chapala in 2002. He was a member of American Legion Post Seven in Chapala and of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. He was interested in photography and gardening.

Vincent is survived by his wife Wanda of Chapala, daughters Michaele Vincent and Stephanie Provines and sons, Joe and Jody Vincent, all of the Oklahoma City area. He had 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held in his honor at Lakeside Presbyterian Church on November 17.
