Anthony Ralph Osolnick, Jr.

Anthony “Tony” Ralph Osolnick Jr., formerly of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, passed away from a heart attack in his Tlachichilco home on Saturday, March 30. He was 70 years old.

Born January 23, 1943, Osolnick was a retired Pennsylvania Department of State Investigator, with many years of service in law enforcement. He was a former U.S. Marine and served several tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a life member of the Mid Atlantic Chapter 2nd Marine Division Association.

He moved to Lakeside in 2007 after many visits to the area. He was a member of the American Legion, the Lake Chapala Society, and the Riders Registry Mexico.

To many he was known as a true friend who would help them in an hour of need. He was a lover of life, Ajijic, motorcycles and cigars. Osolnick was an icon in the “Malecon Motorcycle Gang” that met on Sundays in Chapala. He enjoyed treating the local children with ice cream and providing photo ops for passing señoritas!

He was preceded in death by his son and his second wife.  Also laid to rest was his faithful companion of 18 years, “Sammy” a Siberian husky suffering from cancer.

Tony is survived by a daughter, brother and sister and countless friends who will miss him dearly. Tony was cremated and his ashes (and Sammy’s) will be dispersed to the wind during an honorary motorcycle procession, date yet to be determined.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 3, 3 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society. All friends are welcome.
