Deanne Sharon Harrop died April 30 at the Ajijic Clinic after a short illness at the age of 75.
Born in Kentville, Nova Scotia on December 28, 1937, Harrop spent most of her life in Halifax, Nova Scotia, working as an accountant in partnership with her husband, Ron Harrop, for 30 years.
Deanne and Ron have wintered in Ajijic for more than 10 years, enjoying many friendships made through their time here. She was a member of the Chapala Golf and Country Club and the Lake Chapala Society.
Harrop is survived by her husband of 49 years, son Jeffrey (Lynn Matheson), daughter Leslie Fullerton (Charles) and grandchildren Courtney and Chelsea Fullerton. She is also survived by her brother Murray Blanchard of Vancouver, B.C. and her sister, Lorraine Manzo of Richmond, Virginia.
Harrop has been cremated and will be interned in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
