Fans of TripAdvisor.com have voted Puerto Vallarta as the “Best Destination in Mexico.” Playa del Carmen and Cabo San Lucas came second and third in the popular website’s Travelers Choice 2012 gongs. However, Vallarta only placed ninth in the “Best Beach” category, behind Tulum in first spot and Playa del Carmen in second. Nuevo Vallarta was in fifth place.
