The sixth annual Chili Cookoff takes place in the Jardin de Barra de Navidad on Sunday, January 27, from 1 p.m.
Organized by the Hotel Costa Alegre Royalty, the event is free to attend and all proceeds from chili sales will go to the Rotary Club. There will be beer, margaritas, hotdogs, hamburgers for sale, plus of course the chili, which will be served from after 3.30 p.m.
Attendees will vote on the best chili, with the winner presented with a prize before the dancing under the stars begins. There will also be music, folkloric dancing and a raffle, with prizes including a bike, an iPod and a trip to Las Vegas.
