A restaurant on Puerto Vallarta’s Playa de los Muertos that had opened for business on December 17 burned to the ground on January 7.
No one was injured in the blaze at the Manta Mar restaurant and residents in an adjoining condominium complex were evacuated as a precaution. The building had recently been remodeled and all the equipment in the restaurant was brand new.
