Jon Murphy is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day warm-up event to help raise money for Puerto Vallarta charitable causes.
Vallarta Celtfest is a celebration of Celtic traditional music, dance, food, drink and culture to be held Saturday, March 14, 2 p.m. until the wee hours at Murphy’s Irish Pub, Morelos 484 on the Malecon.
The entertainment begins at 2 p.m. with Crann Ull’s traditional music using uilleann pipes — the characteristic national bagpipes of Ireland. Dave Whitty from St. Johns, Newfoundland plays at 4 p.m.; La Trez Cuartoz Celtic Rock begins at 6:30 p.m. and closing out the evening are The Freaks & Adriana from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Have a Guinness, Jameson’s Corned Beed and Cabbage or Guinness Beef Stew, among other Irish-themed menu offerings. Sláunte!
