More blood banks

The Jalisco Health Department (SSJ) will open 24 new blood banks in municipalities outside of the Guadalajara metropolitan zone in January, in order to decentralize reserves across the state.  The metropolitan area already has four blood banks, but more marginalized municipalities have long lacked such supplies for transfusions. Having invested 40 million pesos in the new centers, the SSJ will now be able to reduce fatalities by supplying patients much more quickly with blood from regional facilities.
