Jalisco leads clothes production

Jalisco is the leading state in Mexico for the manufacturing of clothes, the State Secretary of Economic Development said at the IM Intermoda Guadaalajara 2013 fashion fair last week.

Inaugurating the event, Jamie Martinez said innovation and design have helped Jalisco to become the most important garment-producing hub in the country, with around 18,000 people employed by 1,800 clothing manufactures across the state.
Around 800 exhibitors from all over the world showcased their products at the Expo Guadalajara during the IM Intermoda, the most important annual event in Mexico’s fashion industry.
