Under state government instructions, schools and public offices across Jalisco will run an earthquake evacuation simulation on Monday, April 22, noon.
The annual exercise traditionally takes place on State Civil Protection Day, celebrated annually in Jalisco on this day. It was on April 22, 1992 that seven miles of city streets exploded, after gasoline had seeped into underground sewers. More than 200 people died.
