The United States Consulate General in Guadalajara will host a 10-kilometer team relay run and donate all the earnings to American Legion Post Seven in Chapala.
The event is being held to commemorate 100 years of Diplomatic Security and will take place Saturday, October 8 at the ITESO university (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente) in Guadalajara.
The race is scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon.
The Legion is asking its members to volunteer for time keeper, time recorder, checkpoint controller, and other tasks. Members can also support the event by just turning up. Carpooling is suggested.
