More than 60 separate protests against the January 1 gasoline hike have been staged in Jalisco since January 1.
Many activists are urging citizens not to pay their taxes this year in protest at the increases and the “dishonest government.” Critics say such a move is counterproductive, as the general population will mostly suffer from any disruption to public services.
