Like other Jalisco mayors elected under the banner of the Movimiento Ciudadano party, Jocotepec chief executive Hector Manuel Haro Pérez is set for a public referendum to ratify his three-year mandate, to be held Sunday, August 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registered resident voters will be asked to approve or disapprove of Haro’s job performance through balloting carried out at five polling stations distributed throughout the municipal seat and others at central locations in Nextipac, Chantepec, San Juan Cosalá, San Cristóbal Zapotitlán, San Pedro Tesistán, Zapotitán de Hidalgo, Huejotitán and Potrerilllos.
Haro has been on the campaign trail to curry voter sympathies, publicizing his administration’s accomplishments in street and infrastructure improvements and steep reduction of the municipality’s debt burden.
