Jalisco & Nevada: A puzzling contrast in marijuana mangement

Jalisco state police disclosed this week that they have destroyed 120,000 marijuana plants in the municipality of Tequila.

The operation came just days after the U.S. state of Nevada boasted that its dispensaries raked in more than US$27 million during the first month of recreational marijuana sales, generating more than US$3.6 million in taxes.

Eight U.S. states now allow the recreational use of marijuana. A puzzling contrast when massive resources are being allocated to eradication measures south of the border, no?
