Alpine Pueblo Magico hosts cultural festival

This weekend, the pine tree festooned town of Tapalpa will offer – along with fresh, alpine air – two days of music and art, free of charge, as part of the Festival Tapalpa 2017.

The festival, according to Tapalpa Mayor Antonio Morales Diaz, was created for the 15th anniversary of Tapalpa’s consecration as a “Pueblo Magico,” the first in Jalisco to receive that honor and the third in all of Mexico.  The Saturday, November 18 program includes banda, ballet folclorico, and GDL rock band Troker, who recently performed at the world-famous Glastonbury Festival in England.  Sunday’s entertainment features three mariachi groups and well-know classical pianist Joel Juan Qui.  Music for both days starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. in the town’s plaza.
