Jalisco breaks own employment record

Jalisco, often touted as a major engine of job creation for the nation, has broken its own record this year for generation of new work, with over 103,789 positions created from January through October.

The findings show Jalisco to be the second highest generator of jobs in Mexico during this period, the first being CDMX, with third, fourth and fifth places occupied by Estado de Mexico, Nuevo Leon and Guanajuato, respectively.

Additionally, this year’s employment statistics represent a 6.39 percent increase from last year for Jalisco, beating out the national average, which is currently at 5.41 percent.
