Computer science engineer Mark Jones has long been wary about the development of telecommunications equipment in Mexico, particularly its latest iteration, known as 5G or the fifth generation mobile network.
So he was shocked, when traveling near Avenida Americas and Lopez Cotilla in Guadalajara this week, to see what he suspects is a large 5G tower in the final stages of construction.
“This is lockdown and there are workers installing a tower,” he thought as he photographed the construction.
