Organizers of social events such as weddings, quinceañeras andanniversary parties, along with their affiliated workers (waiters, bartenders, etc.), staged a march and short demonstration in downtown Guadalajara this week, calling on the state government to provide protocols and a timeline for when they will be permitted to restart their labors.
In the current phase of economic reactivation, gatherings are permitted for groups of up to 50 people as long as they follow protocols, but representatives of event firms say there is nothing in writing setting out clear guidelines for their specific kind of work.
