City zoo ready to re-open

Reports suggest the Jalisco government will soon authorize the opening of various open-air activities, including balnearios (water parks) and the Guadalajara Zoo.

Outdoor social and cultural events may also be permitted.

“Evaluation is being done this week and we hope the activities can resume as of next week,” Alejandro Guzmán, Jalisco’s coordinator of Economic Development, said on Tuesday.

Guzman said each activity will be assessed individually and various criteria will be applied before permission is given to resume.
