Although homeschooling is not specifically illegal in Jalisco, according to a document released this week by the Jalisco state legislature, it is not regulated and therefore cannot be promoted in any way.
The Congress has asked the state’s Education Department (SEJ) to identify and sanction institutions that offer homeschooling resources, particularly via the internet. Homeschooling is legal in many western nations, including the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Australia. Germany is one major country where it is prohibited.
