Seventy-one health professionals in Jalisco died after becoming infected with Covid-19 between March 14 and October 28, according to state health authorities.
Of these, 38 were doctors, 17 were nurses and 16 were assigned to other areas. July was the month with the most reported fatalities of health professionals (21), followed by August and September (14 each). Of the total, 51 were men and 20 women. The majority were between 50 and 59 years of age.
