US consulate general honors Zapopan cops

The United States Consulate General in Guadalajara has presented Zapopan law enforcement officials with certificates of recognition for their role in the arrest of U.S. citizen Jeffrey Winston Forrest in May of last year.

Forrest, a former youth pastor, jumped bail in Texas after being charged with sexually assaulting four girls in 2015. He was spotted in a Zapopan store by an observant U.S. citizen who had seen his case broadcast on the “In Pursuit with John Walsh” television program. Forrest was on the U.S. Marshals’ list of Top 15 Most Wanted fugitives.
