Airport bus route not much of an option for travelers

As of August 1, a groundbreaking new route employing electric buses started service from the Guadalajara International Airport.

for no 9The C-98 route runs from the Tren Ligero Line One Perfierico Norte station, around the eastern section of the city beltway (Periférico), past the Centro Universitario Tonala, to the Carretera a Chapala turnoff, from where it heads directly to the airport. Although the service does not pass through the downtown area and is most likely to be used by employees of the airport, authorities hope some travelers will also take advantage of it, especially when stations on the new BRT line (Mi Macro Periferico) under construction on the city’s beltway come into operation, perhaps as early as November.

The buses have space for storing luggage and tickets cost 9:50 pesos per ride. The frequency of the buses is  every 25 minutes.

Almost all the drivers on the  C-98 route are female.
