Rubén Masayi González Uyeda, president of the Council of Industrial Chambers of Jalisco, reckons 15 percent of workers employed in firms affiliated with the association are currently incapacitated, placing great stress on companies to fulfill orders.
The Instituto Mexicano de Seguro Social (IMSS) has been saturated with requests for Covid tests and slips for sick leave, to the point that the institution has launched an application so affiliates can do the process online. Although IMSS claims more than 50,000 people have used the app successfully, there have been numerous reports of crashes and complaints of malfunctions.
