A Jalisco State Police patrol discovered 270 kilos of marijuana piled up in plain sight during a routine patrol of a rural area in the municipality of Jocotepec.
The large bundles of weed wrapped up in tape and stacked underneath a white plastic tarp were spotted a few meters off the unpaved road running between the towns of El Molino and Huejotitán.
The illicit material was confiscated and turned over to investigators with the State Attorney General's Office.
