Vaccine program heads to remote spots

While the majority of Jalisco’s population has been vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19, there are still remote pockets of the state where the inoculation program has yet reach.

Two nurses and a federal government “servant of the nation” this week traveled to two of these isolated Wixaritari indigenous communities, Ratontita and Amoltita, which are located more than 8 and 12 hours from Colotlán respectively, and more than 15 hours from Guadalajara.

The trio of health workers applied 95 Covid jabs to adults and 143 to children, as well as providing other health services and guidance.
