With the Charros still lingering near the bottom of the Mexican Pacific League standings, December may be the last chance to catch some pro baseball this winter (the playoffs start in January).
The home series at the Charros Stadium in Zapopan scheduled this month are on December 12, 13 and 14; 15, 16 and 17; 21, 22 and 23; and 28, 29 and 30. Weekdays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 6 p.m., Sundays at 5 p.m.
The recent arrival of Benjamin Gil as the new head coach of the Charros has transformed the team’s season. If results go their way, the Charros could still make the Mexican Pacific League playoffs in January.
The Charros (19-27) have improved vastly in the second half of the season after a change of coach but remain a long shot for the playoffs.
