To promote its new Uber Pet app, the popular ride-sharing platform has made a donation to Patitas de Ayuda, a Guadalajara-based NGO dedicated to dog rescue and adoption.
The donation included playpens, tables, awnings and other materials needed for their adoption events, which take place several times a year. In addition to its rescue work, Patitas de Ayuda also trains dogs as therapy animals to visit children in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
With the new Uber Pet option, you’ll need to book your ride at least 30 minutes in advance. Just like a traditional ride, the driver will take you and your pet wherever you need to go.
