June 27, 28, 29: "Light Sensitive" at Naked Stage

“Light Sensitive,” Jim Geoghan’s play about the struggles of three New York City losers, is the next production of the Naked Stage Theater.

The cast features Georgette Richmond, Liz White, Jim Ryan and Fred Koesling. The director is Robin Lawrason.

The play runs Friday, June 27; Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. The bar opens at 3 p.m. and the box office at 3:15 p.m. Shows start at 4 p.m.

“Light Sensitive” is a bittersweet comedy where love conquers all. Two lost souls meet in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City. Tom, a blind embittered ex-cabbie who has become reclusive, and Edna, a disabled woman who has also isolated herself from the rest of the world, are brought together when Lou, Tom’s only friend, enlists Edna to take care of Tom. An epic battle of wills and wits ensues that proves, once and for all, that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

The Naked Stage is located at Rio Bravo 10, Ajijic. Turn left on Rio Bravo and drive about two blocks toward the lake. The theater is behind Daniel’s Restaurant.
