Arab culture and literature will be showcased at the 36th Feria Internacional Del Libro (International Book Fair or FIL), scheduled November 26 to December 4 at the Expo Guadalajara conference center, when Sharjah, the third largest of the seven Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be the guest of honor.
The designation of Sharjah as the invited “nation” at the world’s second largest literary gathering surprised many people, but book industry insiders knew differently.
