Murphy’s Law, right? Just after this newspaper celebrated the cultural significance of Guadalajara’s Centro Cultural Breton (GR edition October 15, 2025), its owner regretfully announced that the beloved venue will be closing next month after two decades of operation.
In a heartfelt message posted on social media, French expat Charles Pinet shared that the post-pandemic economic challenges and a lack of resources had made it difficult for him to continue running the center on his own.
Reflecting on the “great journey,” Pinet expressed gratitude for the “great team that stood by my side through thick and thin,” as well as the support of his “Breton family” of loyal patrons.
