French jazz/Klezmer artist slated to perform at BRAVO!

Jazz enthusiasts will love the stylings of Nathalie Braux’s throaty clarinet and sax, which makes one all at once mellow and energized.

pg19aBraux is a jazz musician and composer who reaches for new expressions of her artistry in composing for theater and film, as well as for her Mexican Jazz/Klezmer band Sherele.

She is equally at home collaborating with other jazz artists or plumbing the depths of her unique musical roots.

BRAVO! Theatre brings Braux’s talents back to Lakeside for two concerts, for the first time since she left Mexico for Washington D.C. a few years back. She currently lives in Madrid, Spain.

The first concert, with Timothy G. Ruff Welch on piano, is based on the countries where both performers  have lived – Mexico, France and the United States – and promises to be an eclectic and vibrant evening of music.

The second will bring Sherele together for some Mexican jazz and Klezmer Band favorites. It will be a unique and wild ride through jazz, mixed with Klezmer and Latin American rhythms. It will be difficult to stay still for this concert!

The first concert is on Friday, January 28, and the second concert on Sunday, January 30. Both concerts begin at 4 p.m.

Tickets, 500 pesos for each concert or 850 pesos for both, may be reserved at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or purchased from It’s Kinda Bazar… or Mia’s Boutique.
