Former mayor registers for governor’s race

Former Chapala Mayor Arturo Gutiérrez Tejeda was the only person to meet the deadline for registering as a potential independent candidate in Jalisco’s 2024 gubernatorial race.

He will need approval of his documentation, and collect thousands of signatures of support by January 3 to qualify for getting his name on the ballot.
